Main Quest
After approaching the mines and watching the first scene Syl asks you to aid her companion Brink as he rushes into the mines unprepared.
Syl needs you to travel deep within the mines to find the Overseer's Library. She believes it holds the key to reversing the Ember Blight that is currently affecting you and the inhabitants of Torchlight. She will reward you experience and fame on completion.
In order to travel further down to the lost dwarven kingdoms you must reassemble the glyph in the Estherian Antechamber. To do so, you must find three lesser glyphs and return them to Syl. She will reward you with fame and experience for recovering them.
Vasman's Quests
Vasman will ask you to find a sample of Gleaming Ember on the first level of the mines and return it to him. You are rewarded with gold, experience, fame and items.
After returning to him with the Gleaming Ember, Vasman will ask you to travel deeper within the mines to the Necropolis to find a Deathlace Ember sample. He will reward you with gold, experience, fame and items on completion.
Vasman will have another sample he wants you to collect and says you will find it deeper in the dungeons. It can be found within the Estherian Antechamber's portals and when returned he will reward you with experience, gold, fame and items.
After successfully returning with a sample of the Shimmering Ember, Vasman will send you further down into the darkness to search for a cavern "lost to time" in hopes it will have some Primal Ember in it. He will reward you with experience, gold, fame and items.
Trill's Quests
Trill will ask you to find a beast known as Varkaseer somewhere within the mines. If you slay him the bard will immortalise you in song, while also providing gold, experience, fame and items for your time.
Trill wants you to slay the beast known as Kivilza the Poisonous in his fifth level lair. He will reward you gold, experience, fame and items.
After your victory over Kivilza, Trill now has requested you slay the beast known as Tha'Kan the Butcher on the seventh level of the dungeon below Torchlight. As usual you will be rewarded with experience, gold, fame and items.
Hatch's Quests
Hatch wants you to explore a portal and bring back the best treasure you can find. He will open the portal for you, which will appear next to him, and warn you that no other portals will work inside. It is filled with monsters and for your time he will reward you with gold, experience, fame and items.
Hatch wants you to find the Hammer of Weyland in one of the caverns in the mountain. As with the previous quest, the portal will open next to him and he will reward you with gold, experience, fame and items upon completion.
