My only guess without being able to see what's going on first-hand is that some file got screwed up when the editor was bizarrely forcing your machine to restart. Now when it tries to start up and load that file it's dying. Creating a new admin account is working because it's now longer using those ...

the layout you want to merge into the town layout needs to be inside a folder called "merge" not a layout called "merge." In your mod you have: Leoricredo\media\layouts\town\1x1single_room\merge.layout it should be: Leoricredo\media\layouts\town\1x1single_room\merge\

The firefly systems are getting killed because they contain both an init emitter that doesn't loop and a regular one that does, and when the init one finishes the whole thing gets culled. So I created a 64x64 image, made what I wanted for the particle, saved it as a dds file under the DXT1 setting, mip maps enabled. Load up the editor, assign it as the texture, made an emitter and the particles are all blank white squares. I even tried saving as DXT3, but to no avail I can't get it ...

I was looking at this today. I need to fix it, but I believe you can avoid it by making sure you close your inventory UI before stopping the 'in-game' mode in the editor. Please let me know if you still get the crash on subsequent 'plays' if you shut the UI before stopping. Otherwise, we're talking ...
